Telegram is an instant messaging app that allows users to send multimedia messages and make end-to-end encrypted voice and video calls. Telegram delivers messages faster than other applications. Telegram, a German company was first launched on 14th August 2013 for iOS and later in Android in October 2013 and was founded by Pavel Durov, a Russian man. Telegram is a free and open-source, cross-platform, cloud-based instant messaging software. Because of its simple, fast, secure and synced across all device makes one of world's top 10 most downloaded apps. Its popularity as of 2021 is huge with 500 million monthly active users.

Unique Features of Telegram

It has some features which make it quite unique to users like its file sharing service up to a limit of 2GB. Telegram is focusing on the security and privacy of users in its platform, so people are liking this approach. Users found it easier and convenient to send multimedia messages via telegram without hustle. 

I have been using Telegram for  last 2 years and I have found it to be very handy for file sharing. Unlike Gmail which doesn't allow easy sharing of files and documents, larger file size without uploading to the drive, which may be due to security reasons;  Telegram is much easier with simple procedure of drag and drop.

Another unique features that may be not be entertained by some but for others it may be plus point is that ; it  doesn't show someone is using telegram or not , in the list of the online users instead you need to visit message you last shared. There you would see the individual is available on telegram or otherwise.

Next issue is that you would have full access to shared content and message in a group sharing.
